About Captor Hat Company

A number of years ago, I bought my first traditional flat cap, often referred to by various style names such as ivy, scally, driving, newsboy, or duckbill caps. I was instantly drawn to its classic look and fit. My wife likes them so much on me that she bought a couple for herself as well. Recently, we purchased a performance truck, and I reflected on how happy driving it made me feel. This sparked thoughts about other things that inspire us or bring us joy, including our faith, love for our family, the Pacific Northwest where we were born, travel, fishing, and adventure among other things. You will see these inspirations reflected in many of our stylish flat hats. While traditional ballcaps typically feature a logo advertising a company or brand, I wanted to create hats that reflect or “capture” my inspiration. Thus, the idea for Captor Hat Company was born.
